The tradesman asked the woman if she needed help, and the pair held hands as they walked across the road.

Mr James, who runs SABEL Rigging and Scaffolding, said he spotted the moment while heading to a café on his lunch break.

‘I work in the same site as the guy in the photo,’ he said.

‘The little old lady was standing at the crossing and the guy in the photo walked up to her and asked if she wanted help crossing the road.

‘She grabbed his hand and he walked her to the other side and told her to have a lovely day.’

Mr James, who called his workmate ‘a champion bloke’, said it showed that ‘gentleman still exist’.

‘It just shows that gentlemen still exist and that a random act of kindness can make someone’s day,’ he said.
