Big W announces the date of its MASSIVE 2021 Toy Mania sale – as the one buy every child wants for Christmas this year is revealed

  • The mega sale will open in stores across the country from Thursday, June 17

BIG W has offered a sneak peek at Australia’s most anticipated toy sale of the year – and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever before.

Toy Mania has attracted huge crowds every year, with thousands of shoppers getting up at the crack of dawn to snap up the bargain buys, while parents load up their shopping carts to secure their children’s Christmas presents six months early. 

And this year will be no exception, as the retailer is set to launch the two-day sale online from 7am on Tuesday, June 15, followed by stores on Thursday, June 17.

Shoppers can expect huge savings across more than 1,000 toys, with prices slashed by up to 50 per cent on some of the hottest toys on the market – including the $129 Bluey Trampoline which is tipped to be the hottest toy of the year.

To help shoppers prepare their wish list ahead of the huge sale, the retailer will unveil its catalogue early online and in store from Monday, June 7.

The sale features firm favourite toys, newly launched and exclusive brands including LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher Price.

‘We know how much Aussies families look forward to Toy Mania and the ritual of sitting down and circling favourites with their kids, and this year we’ll have plenty to choose from,’ Christine Faulkner, BIG W’s chief toy buyer, said.

According to parents, the $129 Bluey Trampoline is tipped to be one of the hottest toys of the year.

Other toys include a $69 limited edition Care Bear, a $59 Star Wars Yoda plush, $69 Beyblade Speedstorm Battle set, $109 Lego City Wildlife Rescue Camp, $89 Hot Wheels ultimate Garage, $29 Trolls bundle, $29 Hungry Hippo Launchers and more.

BIG W will help take the stress out of shopping with e-layby for Christmas, contactless pickup, home delivery and car-to-boot service.

‘By popular demand, online lay-by is returning for families wishing to buy now for Christmas,’ Ms Faulkner said. 

Everyday Reward members will also benefit from bonus points on all Toy Mania purchases when they scan their linked cards at checkout.
