Aldi launches a $49 MINI iron so you can smooth out your clothes on-the-go – and it’s perfect for travellers

  • The pocket-sized iron is cordless and light weight so is easily stowed in luggage
  • The manufacturer also claims the iron helps to banish odours from clothes 

Aldi have unveiled a stylish travel-sized steam iron as part of their popular Special Buys collection and they are expected to sell out fast.

The $49 pocket-sized irons, which will be in stores from June 9, are made to be able to be taken on holiday and come with a designer travel case.

The small iron is cordless and instead of clunky dials comes with four preset modes for different fabrics.

The product was featured on Aldi’s extra special buys show –  which is an indicator the German retailer expects them to be popular.

The product promises to help banish odours as well as keep holiday makers’ clothes looking crisp and cared for.

‘People no longer have to worry about being stranded with a crinkled shirt,’ according to the product description.
