Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul came face-to-face once again as the pair’s controversial exhibition bout moves closer, with the boxing great insisting he can use his ‘Z game’ against the YouTuber.

Mayweather, 44, returns to the ring for the first time since New Year’s Eve, 2018, to face internet star Paul, who has competed once professionally, suffering defeat to fellow influencer KSI in November 2019.

The boxing icon, who boasts a 50-0 record, is expected to handle the 26-year-old American with ease, despite the mammoth size differential that was displayed when the pair squared off on Thursday.

And Mayweather maintains that he does not need to be near his best to see off Paul in the exhibition in which there will be no winner or loser, although knockouts are allowed.

‘I ain’t gotta use my A game, my B game, my C game. I can use my Z game,’ Mayweather said at the event in Miami. ‘Don’t even gotta hit him hard. Result’s going to be the same.’

Paul and younger brother Jake, 24, have made strides in becoming boxers, with the latter recently defeating retired UFC fighter Ben Askren and is set to take on former champion Tyron Woodley this summer.

Mayweather says he will expose Logan Paul’s limited ability on Sunday, while he could face Jake Paul in the future.

‘I take my hat off to these guys,’ Mayweather said. ‘They have done good, to fool the public about being some real fighters. Man, you going to find out Sunday.’

The exhibition bout is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds, with no judges ringside and no official winner, although knockouts are allowed and the referee is allowed to step in to wave off the fight in the event of a knockout.

The pair were set to wear 12 ounce gloves for the contest, but both have agreed to wear smaller, 10 ounce gloves instead.
