Mike Tyson‘s coach has confirmed the heavyweight legend will return to the ring for another exhibition fight in September.
Tyson, 54, made a sensational comeback to boxing when he fought fellow ex-world champion Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round bout last November.
The former heavyweight king, who turns 55 at the end of this month, insisted after that fight he would continue to put on more exhibitions and is already in training for his next one.

His coach Rafael Cordeiro has revealed negotiations are ongoing over a TV deal for Tyson’s next fight, which will take place in September. No opponent has yet been decided but his once-fierce rivals Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield are both possibilities, having expressed their interested in stepping back into the ring.
‘We continue training. He’s an athlete and is always training, hitting pads here in the gym. I think we’re going to have something in September,’ Tyson’s coach Cordeiro told MMAFighting.com.
‘I don’t know who because his company Legends Only League is working on it and negotiating a TV deal so they can announce a schedule, but we’re training. We’ll be fighting in September.’
Tyson came off second best in violent clashes against Lewis and Holyfield during his professional career, losing twice to the latter and by knockout to the former.

He was first stripped of his world title by Holyfield in 1996 before losing to him in their rematch, which is infamous for Tyson biting a chunk out of his opponent’s ear and subsequently getting disqualified.
Six years after his first encounter with Holyfield, Tyson and Lewis collided in a mammoth heavyweight showdown for three world titles.
Lewis would dish out a brutal beating on Tyson in a one-sided fight which came to an end after the Brit landed a devastating right-hand cross to leave ‘Iron Mike’ flat-out on the canvas in the eighth round.
Despite the conclusive finish, Tyson’s fight with Lewis is best remembered for the fiery build-up, which led to both men trading blows at one of the pre-fight press conferences.
Back in April Tyson revealed he had agreed to fight the former undisputed heavyweight champion in a rematch later this year but that is yet to be confirmed.

Lewis has not fought since defeating Vitali Klitschko in 2003 but admitted he would consider making his return after 18 years out to take on Tyson ‘if the fans wanted it’.
Holyfield, 58, however, is also keen to face Tyson, having tried to secure an exhibition against him on his comeback last year before a deal with Jones Jr was reached.
The ex-two-weight champion has been training for his return for close to a year and announced he would fight Kevin McBride – the man who famously ended Tyson’s career – in June on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez’s world title defence against George Kambosos Jr.
Tyson’s last opponent Jones Jr, meanwhile, is also close to securing his next fight with former super-middleweight champion Carl Froch set to come out of retirement to take on the boxing legend later this year.
