Everton ‘close to appointing former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez as their new manager following positive talks with the club’s board’

Rafa Benitez is close to taking over as Everton manager following positive talks with the club’s board, according to reports.  

The Toffees are yet to confirm a successor for Carlo Ancelotti, but it is believed Benitez could fill the vacancy and return to the Premier League two years after departing Newcastle United

According to Sky Sports News, Benitez – who left Chinese club Dalian Yifang earlier this year – was named as the club’s No.1 choice and offered the job on Tuesday night.
