Shoppers looking to renovate their home on a budget can now revamp their kitchens and bathrooms with DIY peel-and-stick tiles from Kmart.

The Australian retailer has unveiled a new range of self-adhesive tiles in four different patterns – mosaic, marble look, hexagon and subway – for just $25 for a pack of five.

The 3D tiles claims to be resistant to water, oil, high temperatures and even mould – and are suitable on kitchen splashbacks, bathroom walls, laundry, worktops, tabletops, bedrooms, living rooms and other flat surfaces.

The self-adhesive tile doesn’t require grouting or cementing and is easy to clean by wiping with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

It’s one of the latest DIY interior trends that’s going viral around the world as it allows people to update the look of their home without the cost of renovating.

Hundreds of DIY enthusiasts have shared their verdict on social media after trying out the tiles in their spaces.

‘We got them, and they look very good, you will need a lot of patient to put it,’ one shopper wrote. 

One woman said she was able to update her laundry room for just $75.

‘I’ve been considering ordering stick on tiles online for months but the price put me off. Three packets from Kmart and a nice tidy laundry spashback is complete,’ she said.

One mum used the tile sheets to cover an old dining table. 'Our table had some scratches and dents but I can't fathom replacing it with what we would like to. Whilst the kids are still young and destructive, the new adhesive tiles from Kmart came to the rescue,' she said

‘I just done mine and love how it’s turned out, so much lighter and brighter then before. Took me half the day but so happy with how it turned out,’ she said.

‘I just stuck them over the top of my old tiles. They are super sticky. You just have to make sure you clean the surface properly… I feel like they will last a long time. 

‘I thought I would give them a go. Very time consuming but glad I did it.’

While one woman restyle her dull-looking tea and coffee station by applying the mosaic tiles on the walls.

‘Love the new adhesive tiles. Very easy to apply just need a bit of thought and measurements to ensure patterns line up,’ she said.

Others have used the stick on tiles in their caravans while one mum used the sheets to cover an old dining table.
