Rather than using harsh chemicals to clean the kitchen, a mum has made her own natural concoction and shared the recipe with her 1.3 million TikTok followers.

Mum-of-two Carolina, from Perth, made the ‘magic’ kitchen cleaning spray by combining white vinegar, water, dish soap and orange scented essential oil together in a spray bottle.

In the video she used the homemade spray to remove the tough stains from her stovetop, which was left looking sparkling clean.

The essential oil also leaves the perfect citrus scent to the home but can be excluded. 

The non-toxic cleaning spray would be ideal for those who are sensitive to harsh cleaning odours.

The video has since been viewed more than 18,000 times and other TikTok users deemed the insight to be incredibly helpful. 

HOW TO MAKE THE ‘MAGIC’ KITCHEN SPRAY 

What you’ll need:

  • 1 spray bottle
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp dish soap
  • 15 drops orange essential oil

Method: 

Combine all the ingredients together in a spray bottle 

Spray as needed onto kitchen surfaces to clean

Liz Amaya, from Brisbane, shared a video on Instagram and surprised hundreds with the ingredients used to create the homemade spray.

In a spray bottle, the combined one cup of water, half a cup of vinegar, a few drops of essential oil and two tablespoons of vodka.

After combining the ingredients, she sprayed the liquid over her neatly arranged linen bedspread and ensured it was flat when drying to prevent wrinkling.

In the clip, the linen was left looking completely wrinkle-free after squirting the spray over the top.
