Three cafe patrons on the Gold Coast are seriously injured after gas explosion

Massive gas explosion at a cafe leaves customers with horrific injuries – with two suffering major burns to their faces


A gas explosion at a Gold Coast coffee shop has injured three people, with two suffering significant burns.

Paramedics were called to the Robina cafe about 12.15pm on Friday.

Two of the three injured have significant burns to their faces and limbs, the Queensland Ambulance Service has told AAP.

Police are at the scene helping to evacuate the site.

The cafe is in Energy Circuit, Robina.
