‘This goes beyond my music,’ said the rapper. ‘It’s so much bigger than me, my message is to save as many cats as possible, to make cats look cool and to break that stereotype of black cats being bad luck due to how they’re shown in certain lights.

‘My thing is to break that stereotypes, cat ladies aren’t crazy, you’re all beautiful and that I appreciate everyone.’

Online rapper Moshow said his main aim on the Netflix series is to demonstrate to viewers that it’s ‘OK to show your love for cats’.

I’m the cat rapper,’ he said. ‘I have five cats, my role is I rap about my cats. I love my cats and represent all the cat ladies and cat guys in the world.

‘My message is to spread peace love and positivity to everyone and to get people to love their cats and show that it’s okay to show your love for cats and be yourself.’

When asked about his love for felines, he went on: ‘I like the energy you have to put into them to get that trust, to put in a little bit more work to earn that love. But once you get that love and that cat connection, I think it’s very magical.’

‘They give me different types of love…I just love them all and we’re just all one big cat family. I love what each one of them brings to me and they’re all so different and I’m just very thankful.’

Meanwhile, Acro-Cats founder Samantha wants to show the world that cats can be trained as well as dogs, by showing off how her felines have learned to bang drumsticks and pluck guitar strings.

‘This is the band, they’re called The Rockcats,’ said Samantha. ‘They’re the finale of our show which features around 16 performing cats that are all clicker trained.

‘They’re all orphans rescues and strays who have come into my life over the years and I’ve taught them to do amazing things based on their own skill sets and today we’re working with the band The Rockcats.’

She said that while her group are clicker trained, cats can often be temperamental and will ‘work at their own pace’ while preparing for a performance.

‘Cats work at their own pace’, she said. ‘They’re really about what’s in it for me, but they are absolutely trainable.

‘They’re very fun to work with, they always surprise me. I never know what they’re going to do, or what they’re not going to do or when.’

While she has her felines well trained, Samantha admitted that they may not always be as obedient as dogs, joking: ‘I cannot guarantee much of anything other than that people will laugh!’
