Kaitlyn Bristowe breaks down while talking about being away from her friends and family on Instagram

Bachelor Nation’s Kaitlyn Bristowe expressed her grief about being away from her friends and family in a series of videos that were shared to her Instagram Story on Saturday.

The 36-year-old reality television personality discussed several issues that she was dealing with in her clips and spoke about how hard it was to cheer herself up when she was not with her loved ones.

The former Bachelorette began her posts with a selfie of herself crying, and she pointed out that her ‘tear tattoo fits perfectly’ with how she was feeling.

Bristowe then pointed out that she had exhausted her usual method of brightening her mood, as she was feeling especially sad about her situation.

She said: ‘I used to put on Family Guy to cheer me up if I was ever sad and now I just find it stupid.’

The podcast host then spoke about how she had been absent from her native country for an extended period of time, stating: ‘it’s so hard sometimes being away, like, I mean I haven’t been back to Canada in two years.’

She also pointed out that several of her loved ones, including her partner, Jason Tartick, had been spending time together and that she wanted to be with them.

‘I was FaceTiming my dad today, and I’m just feeling so lonely and obviously Jason left and he is having family time. I was supposed to be there,’ she said.

Bristowe attributed her absence to her professional commitments and asked her nearly 2 million followers for recommendations regarding lighthearted series.

‘I couldn’t because of work stuff and I’m just missing them and I miss the dogs and I’m just having a moment and, uh, I need a show to cheer me up,’ she asked.

The reality television figure added that she was looking for ‘anything that cheers people up because I’m just missing so many people and dogs right now.’

The Dancing With The Stars winner also remarked that she had spoken with several of her friends and family members, whom she missed dearly, the previous day.

She recalled, ‘I was also FaceTiming with my mom and my niece and nephew yesterday and it’s…just been so long since I’ve seen them, and I know you guys know how close I am with all of them.’

Bristowe then spoke about how many people would make rude comments about her personal life, which she did not particularly appreciate.

She said, ‘It’s been really hard, and I love Jason’s family so much, so much, so I wish I was with them too, but it’s hard because people give me s*** sometimes even about, like, “Why aren’t you with Jason for this?” or “Why do you leave the dogs?”‘

The television personality then gave her followers a few examples of the hateful comments that she had received and noted that she was afraid of looking at her messages as a result.

She noted, ‘I shouldn’t have even asked for movie recommendations because that forces me to go into my DMs and then I see things like people saying, “have some dignity,” “pull it together,” “stop crying,” “privileged problems LOL.”‘

Bristowe has been romantically involved with Tartick ever since early 2019, although they had been friends prior to beginning a relationship.

Before she became linked to the former Bachelorette contestant, she dated Shawn Booth, who was the winner of the show’s 11th season.

Although they went strong for an extended period of time, the former couple called it quits in 2018.

After she broke up with Booth, Bristowe and Tartick began going steady and eventually moved in together in 2020.

The happy couple went on to announce their engagement this past May.

The reality television personality spoke about the moment that her fiance popped the question during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where she noted that she was not fully there when Tartick asked her to marry him.

‘The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful…We were holding hands, so intense, and I was listening to his every word, but still blacked out,’ she said.

The two have also reportedly discussed adding children to their lives.
