Jeremie Boga’s Premier League suitors have been put on alert after Atalanta made their move to sign the former Chelsea youngster.

Atalanta have signalled their intent to land Sassuolo winger Boga by making a £15.5million bid.

Sassuolo have rejected the opening offer but Atalanta are now weighing up an improved proposal for the 24 year-old.

Everton, Leeds and Crystal Palace have all shown interest in Boga but have yet to firm that up.

Sassuolo rejected a bid for Boga of around £30m from Napoli last summer while Rennes offered around £17.5m. But with his contract running down Boga’s price tag is falling.

Boga has two years left on his current deal after Sassuolo took up their option to add another 12 months to his agreement.

But he has no plans to extend his stay currently and Sassuolo do not want him to enter the final two years of his deal.

Boga joined Chelsea in 2008 and made his sole first-team appearance against Burnley, following loan spells at Rennes and Granada, at the start of the 2017-18 season under Antonio Conte.

After seeing his debut cut short following Gary Cahill’s early red card, forcing Conte to sacrifice the youngster, Boga joined Birmingham on loan before moving to Italy permanently in 2018.

The Marseille-born Ivory Coast international has been a success at Sassuolo, scoring 18 times and setting up eight more goals in 90 appearances.
