Camilla Parker Bowles recycled favoured outfits for all Devon and Cornwall engagements

The Duchess of Cornwall has showcased her thrifty style during her latest tour with Prince Charles.

Camilla, 74, visited Devon and Cornwall alongside her husband this week, and donned recycled outfits for all their joint engagements.

During a trip to Exeter Cathedral – the first stop on their three-day tour of the South West – Camilla looked stylish in a navy blue dress adorned with colourful feathers which she first wore in May this year during a visit to Whittington Hospital.

On the second day, when visiting a primary school on St Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall, the duchess was the epitome of elegance in a vibrant blue, summer frock with an exotic bird print.

The royal had originally donned the colourful frock during a visit to the London Garden Museum on June 10, 2021.

For the royal couple’s final outing, Camilla cut a cool figure in a light blue linen zip dress adorned with white polka dots and dark sunglasses, while wearing her white blonde-hair carefully coiffed.

She first sported the summer ensemble during a trip to the V&A Museum on June 9 2021.

In terms of footwear, the duchess has been sporting the same court shoes from Sole Bliss for nearly three years.

Her first purchase was a pair of £149 heels, which she wore at the Royal Cornwall Show in June 2018.

According to Sole Bliss (www.solebliss.com), the duchess has not replaced her favourite court shoes for nearly three years, despite being worn an estimated 80 times.

Sole Bliss says: ‘We refresh this bestselling heel every season, however the duchess continues to wear her original pair which have accompanied her on countless engagements over the last three years.

‘Our shoes are designed to be worn for many years. We use high quality, ethically sourced leathers and long-lasting memory foam cushioning for bunions and sensitive feet, so that our customers can wear their Sole Bliss shoes time and time again.’

Yesterday, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall looked in high spirits as they visited The Burton at Bideford in Devon to celebrate the art gallery’s 70th anniversary – just a day after being blindsided by Prince Harry‘s $20m bombshell memoir announcement.

The Prince of Wales, 72, and the Duchess of Cornwall, who turned 74 on Saturday, were seen greeting well-wishers as they arrived to view an exhibition of archive photographs by local photographer James Ravilious from the Beaford Archives on the final day of their tour of the South West.

Following their visit to the exhibition, they attended a gathering of the town’s community groups and young people in the nearby Victoria Park.

It came after the Duke of Sussex’s $20million Megxit memoir was branded a ‘moneymaking exercise at the expense of his blood family’ by royal experts and insiders who predicted it would be ‘a book by Harry, as written by Meghan.’

Harry, 36, did not warn his grandmother, father or brother about the tell-all book until ‘moments before it became public’ in a sign that his relationship with the Royal Family did not improve during his visit to unveil Princess Diana’s statue in London earlier this month, it was claimed on Tuesday.

The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William are said to have been completely blindsided by Harry’s shock announcement that he has been secretly working on his as yet untitled memoirs with Pulitzer-winning ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer for a year, with a release date of late 2022, according to publisher Penguin Random House.

In a statement Harry said: ‘I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become’ – but one royal insider responded tartly: ‘A book by Harry, as written by Meghan.’

Prince Harry didn’t feel he needed permission from Buckingham Palace to write the memoir, his spokesman declared yesterday.

The Sussexes’ spokesman told the BBC that Harry would not be expected to obtain permission for the project from Buckingham Palace – but it is not yet clear if royal officials will get to see the finished book before its release in late 2022 by publisher Penguin Random House. MailOnline has asked Harry’s LA team to comment.
