Car dash! Doorbell camera captures DoorDash driver’s car rolling away after he gets out to make a delivery

  • DoorDash driver in Colorado steps out to make a delivery, but leaves car in gear
  • While he drops two bags of food off, the recipient says: ‘Your car is rolling away’
  • He reacts in shocked disbelief before he’s again told the vehicle is still moving
  • Driver spins around before breaking out into a sprint to catch the runaway car

This is the hilarious moment a delivery driver’s car trickled away because he forgot to put it in park while he dropped off fast food.

The DoorDash driver, who was delivering two take out bags of Buffalo Wild Wings in Fort Collins, Colorado on July 24, was left looking foolish after leaving his car in gear while making a quick stop.

In the minute-long clip, the driver can be seen stopping his car outside of Brandon Ensing’s house and going to drop off the bags – without realising his car is slowly rolling away.

Incredibly, the driver is just inches away from his vehicle but still wasn’t able to see that it was creeping away.

After the driver turns the corner with the take out bags in tow, a Nest camera shows the car still moving down the road as it slinks away and out of shot.

As the driver waits outside the front door, a doorbell camera captures the moment he reacts in shocked disbelief as Ensing tells him his car is crawling away.

He quickly swivels around and pauses before calmly handing over the remaining bag of food.

Ensing, who watched the whole situation unfold from his phone before meeting the driver at the door, reiterates: ‘You might want to go grab it, your car is rolling away.’

As the delivery driver turns around and breaks into a run, he mutters: ‘Shut up!’

He makes it around the corner, sees his car wasn’t left in park, and breaks out into a sprint as he chases after the runaway vehicle.

Sharing the footage on TikTok, Brandon’s clip has now garnered more than 600,000 views in four days.

Fortunately, the driver managed to avoid an expensive bill as he reached his car in time before any damage could be done.
