‘Did you know that a hot chocolate sundae has 350 calories? Try ordering a plain sundae and adding your favourite low calorie chocolate topping,’ the sisters said.

Ditching the McDonald’s topping and replacing with your own saves you 130 calories.

The twins also said there is 185 calories in the aioli sauce alone, which can add up to 440 when ordering a chicken wrap.

Instead simply ask for no aioli to decrease the calories to 225 – almost half of the initial amount.

While the McDonald’s hot cakes are an indulgent treat, one serving of three hot cakes has almost 600 calories.

But this can be reduced to 397 calories simply by swapping out the maple syrup and butter with sugar-free alternatives.

In the video the sisters topped the pancakes with their favourite maple syrup once arriving home from the drive-through.

The video quickly went viral and received more than 43,000 views from Instagram users who praised the sisters for sharing the helpful advice.

Others agreed and said the easy swaps are ‘brilliant’ and ‘awesome’.
