Aaron and Lucinda reveal they’re ‘just friends’ on Aftersun following her and Brad’s night out

Love Island fans were left cringing as Lucinda Strafford appeared on Aftersun with ex Aaron Francis just a day after she confirmed she’d reconciled with Brad McClelland.

The pair appeared on Aftersun after being dumped from the island last week, and the couple split just days arriving back in the UK.

The night before, Lucinda was spotted looking cosy with Brad McClelland in Brighton, who she was coupled up with before she grafted on Aaron.

Brad made the selfless decision to leave the villa a few weeks ago after a shocking twist meant that he and Lucinda had to choose which one of them would stay.

Host Laura Whitmore quizzed her about the night out with the labourer whilst she was sat next to Aaron.

‘Last night we met up, we went out in Brighton. But yeah, it’s still early stages,’ she revealed.

Joking with Laura, she added: ‘It’s all up in the air in my life!’

The Irish presenter then asked what the situation was between her and Aaron.

The luxury event planner responded: ‘We’re just friends.’

Comedian Darren Harriott, who appeared as a panellist on Sunday’s show alongside Amber Gill and Becky Hill, shouted: ‘oh no!’

The studio giggled, whilst Laura teased him that he was ‘so invested’ in them.

Fans of the show noted the awkward interaction on Twitter.

‘The way Aaron and Lucinda are sat together on aftersun and she’s got back with Brad #LoveIsland’, one penned.

Others wrote: ‘AARON AND LUCINDA SITTING TOGETHER IN AFTERSUN??!!! AFTER SHE HUNG OUT WITH BRAD??!?!!’; ‘Aaron and Lucinda together on aftersun when shes just been spotted with Brad lmao producers have been killing it this last week’;’

‘I don’t reallyyyy care about aftersun but I tuned in to watch Aaron and Lucinda. So awks man. She really ruined his Love Island experience with that little farce, should’ve left with Brad. She doesn’t deserve the PLT deals! #LoveIslandAftersun’;

Even panellist Amber was left gobsmacked, tweeting: ‘Can I quickly say I can’t believe Aaron and Lucinda are here next to each other #loveisland’

Lucinda revealed her romance with Aaron was over just 72 hours after they were dumped from the villa.

Lucinda admitted she ‘didn’t find love’ during her three-weeks on the ITV2 show but said she and Aaron have agreed to remain ‘really good friends.’

In her first interview since landing back in the UK, Lucinda also denied claims she was dating Brighton footballer Aaron Connolly, 21, during her time on the series, laughing off reports he drove her to the airport before she flew to Mallorca.

Lucinda told MailOnline: ‘Unfortunately, both of us didn’t find actual love in the villa. We’re great friends, I know that I can come to him for anything. The aim of the game is to find love and I did really want to… I made amazing friends in there.

‘We’ll definitely meet up, but whether it’s a date… we’re unsure what’s going to happen romantically between us, because we haven’t been able to properly see each other, and we’re both going to be busy because we have busy schedules going on so, if it’s not romantically we’ll be really good friends.

‘It was weird, Aaron and I were at the airport, and we were like, we don’t even have each other’s numbers. We were hugging goodbye and thought we need to exchange numbers.

‘We’ve kept in contact, we’re both in isolation, and there has been a couple of messages here and there. We did like each other in the villa, which was quite obvious, but we were only coupled up for a few days. It’s so crazy to think I was in there for almost three weeks, I feel like I blinked, and it was over.’
